Vacancy - Inventory Controller

Bryden Stokes Ltd., a leading company in the Distribution Sector, is seeking to recruit an analytical and meticulous professional to join the Management team in the Finance Division. 

Summary:

To continuously review and determine, with the support of the Chief Financial Officer, the inventory
management processes and controls of the Company.
Verify the integrity of the overall inventory through audits, physical counts, cycle counts, and any other
checks and reconciliations as required by Group Policy and the Chief Financial Officer.

Accountabilities and Duties:

  • Plan, organize, direct and control the operation of the Inventory Control Department.
  • Develop and implement new policies, systems and procedures to improve the
    Department’s efficiency.
  • Monitor, compile, process and verify all records and movement of inventory.
  • Conduct audits of the inventory assigned to sales team.
  • Ensure correct procedures are followed by all relevant personnel (Branding teams, Sales teams and Warehouse team) surrounding the ordering, storing and distribution of  inventory.
  • Schedule and perform inventory stock counts and complete reconciliations against book inventory by leading the inventory variance reconciliation process.
  • Create and analyze reports for all inventory, including ageing and obsolete inventory, and
    share with the Chief Financial Officer and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all documentation relevant to inventory is safely and securely stored.

Education / Experience / Skills Required:

  • Associate or Bachelor‘s degree in Business and/or Accounting.
  • At least three years’ experience in inventory control.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a computerized database.
